Principal's News
Thanks for another terrific
year at Albany Upper Elementary! Congratulations to
students for accumulating over 18,000 Accelerated
Reader points this year.
Parents, you can help your
child to bridge the gap between school years by
reading during the summer. The parish library is
open all summer and has a summer reading program.
One of the greatest gifts a parent
can give their child is to encourage a love for
reading. This is a free gift that only requires some
time.
I would like to
express my thanks to parents for your support of our
school throughout the year. Thank you to Mr. Frank
Giamalva for participating in the ExxonMobil
Foundation Volunteer Involvement Program. Through
this program, ExxonMobil has donated $1000 to
our school. We'd also like to thank John's
Pharmacy for contributing $300. This money will
be used to purchase an automated external
defibrillator (AED), a life saving device.
Please keep in mind that school
begins August 6, 2010.
I hope that each student has a
safe and fantastic summer!!
