AUE Garden Club Photo Gallery

The Albany Upper Elementary Garden Club met on September 28th to help improve the beauty of our school. Third graders who signed up to be a part of this club were able to plant various vegetable in the back garden. Broccoli, cauliflower, and red lettuce, were among those that were planted.

Club members also took part in weeding out the front beds and they learned about various plants throughout the school grounds. The students learned to identify plants that were diseased and those that were healthy. Mrs. Connie Ryals shared her great knowledge of plants and showed off her green thumb!

Mrs. Lisa Zeringue helped the students to plant the vegetables and weed the front beds. She also helped the parent volunteers in assisting the students with their jobs.

Mrs. Pamela Bankston was the photographer. She took many wonderful pictures so that we could share with you what we do.
